General Maintenance Worker

We have a need for a full-time experienced General Maintenance Worker in the Washington, DC area. All tools are provided.
The right applicants will take pride in achieving zero equipment failures and zero unplanned equipment outages through effective preventive maintenance procedures. We are looking for the best skilled workers with experience in a healthcare environment.

The  general maintenance  worker  performs  general maintenance  and  repair  of equipment  and  buildings  requiring practical  skill and knowledge  {but not proficiency)  in such trades  as painting,  carpentry,  plumbing,  masonry,  and electrical work.
Work involves a variety of the following duties:
•    Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors;
•    Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets;
•    Painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks;
•    Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks;
•    Replacing broken window panes; and
•    Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
•    Physically fit to perform all aspects and requirements of the contractual job description - at all times.
•   Working in a 100% safe manner, following all training guidelines and work plans - at all times - no exceptions.
•   Willingness to be flexible to the ever-changing  client military medical environment.
•    Excellent customer service attitude- at all times. You will focus on service response and consistently provide a positive and upbeat customer service experience.
•   Able to accomplish and maintain all contractual training proficiencies; E.g. CPR, HIPPA, OSHA, etc.
•    You will ensure high quality output by showing concern for all aspects of your job and checking the details.
•   You have experience with general equipment and facilities maintenance.
•    You have an Excellent Attitude and demonstrate it to your customers and co-workers.
•    You have a clean driving record.
•   You are excluded if a craft-worker or skilled tradesman from an apprenticeship or progression training program.
