Why the Job Exists The primary objective of this position is to perform transition/activation planning and execution operations for healthcare organizations undergoing hospital construction project outfitting and transition. Must possess clinical knowledge and skills in medical hospital operations as it relates to the Initial Outfitting & Transition process. The transition planner role interfaces with all levels of the project team and end users. Work Location: Multiple locations
What You’ll Do
This position is critical to ensure that the Transition Planning and execution efforts prepare the relocating personnel for the relocation or activation of operations in their new environment meeting the operational and functional requirements of the new or relocating organization.
Assist with the planning, execution and other functions required to provision and transition hospital operations.
Develop a transition management structure and keep minutes of transition meetings.
Serve on-site for developing a transition plan that identifies transition activities by phase and synchronize these activities with project stakeholders.
Coordinate relocation of departments and staff to new facilities. This includes developing and monitoring a Staff Relocation Plan, Load Planning and Move Management.
Plan and execute patient move planning.
Facilitate development of operational concepts for relocated services.
Coordinate development of and execution of facility staff training and education.
Facilitate coordination of public relations on-site efforts for the transition.
Coordinate the security infrastructure and mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems (MEP) operations in coordination with security staff.
What You’ll Have
Strong clinical or healthcare administration background (must have minimum of three years’ experience working in military or civilian hospitals) directly interfacing with clinical departments OR 3 years as a registered nurse.
Familiarity of the processes associated with the planning, design, budgeting, funding, and execution of a health care facility construction project with respect to transition requirements.
Familiarity with transition activities associated with military or civilian medical construction or renovation projects.
Familiarity with new trends in medical care and their implementation.
