What You’ll Do
  • Direct responsibility for management and execution of the initial outfitting and transition project.
  • Create and maintain project baseline schedules and master integrated schedules based on hospital construction documents and input from project team.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in developing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor personnel.
  • Coordinate all activities with the various stakeholders of the project delivery team.
  • Establish and maintain work processes.
  • Train personnel to perform IO&T functions and work as a team.
  • Manage the VWI IO&T Office.
  • Maintain awareness of all aspects of project progress.
  • Forecast and prioritize efforts and obtain resources to accomplish them.
  • Ensure invoicing and billing are appropriate and synchronized.
  • Perform time impact analysis, and track changes that affect the schedule.
  • Participate and facilitate project schedule review meetings and attend other project meetings as required.
  • Assess impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
  • Required to work independently with little supervision.
What You’ll Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, interior design, or related technical field, or business/management; and have 5 years experience in managing relevant (governmental or non-governmental) medical projects.
  • Essential management experience must include key elements of health facility planning.
  • Individuals must possess broad clinical, healthcare, operational, management, and interpersonal skills with exceptional communication skills (organizational, verbal, and written).
  • Knowledge of planning principles and practices, including pertinent specialties.
  • Knowledge of transition principles and practices of research and data collection.
  • Proficient in computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills to multi-levels (end-user to leadership).
  • Problem-solving skills and gathering relevant information to defined practical problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently or on a team and interact professionally with project managers, team leaders, and engineering staff.
  • Ability to directly interact and provide direction to sub-contractors.
  • Ability to attend to details (tactical) while keeping big-picture (strategic) goals in mind.
  • Fully capable of managing detailed tasks and apply critical thinking skills.
  • Willingness to occasionally work past normal working hours and attend unscheduled meetings.

Ability to perform under pressure at times and takes pride in understanding, meeting, and exceeding customer needs with an emphasis on producing high-quality documents and products.
