VW International, Inc. is a building maintenance contractor for the 55 Medical Group located at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.  We are currently looking for a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic capable of performing building and equipment required maintenance and preventative maintenance. 
The Machinery Maintenance Mechanic repairs machinery or mechanical equipment. Work involves most of the following: examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble, dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools. Responsibilities include replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock and or sending the machine to a machine shop for major repairs. reassembling machines and making all necessary adjustments for operation. In general, the work of a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
In addition, the Maintenance Worker will perform periodic PM (Preventative Maintained), inspections along with general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.  Repairing or replacing floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes. Excluded area. Craft workers included in a formal apprenticeship or progression program based on training and experience; b. Skilled craft workers required to demonstrate proficiency in one or more trades; c. Workers performing simple maintenance duties not requiring practical skill and knowledge of a trade (e.g., changing light bulbs and replacing faucet washers).
Other duties will be assigned by management as needed to support the mission of the owner.
