WHY THE JOB EXISTS
The Scheduling Specialist is a key player in developing, analyzing and reporting the multiple schedule requirements for Initial Outfitting and Transition (IO&T) projects for healthcare facilities.  Must possess skills in preparing schedules in various programs and formats. The nature of the work requires this position to fulfill a hybrid technical/administrative role that interfaces with all levels of the project teams as well as bridging all scheduling requirements. 

Work Location:  El Paso, TX; Denver, CO; Alexandria, VA
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Program and Project Managers, along with the other members of the IOT staff, to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules using MS Project
Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule establishing task interdependencies
Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports Gantt, PERT, milestone charges, and other program management tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, float analysis, and to support cost/schedule integrations
Supports the management team in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of projects/programs, including dashboard maintenance
Develop schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures and ensures that they are followed on product development schedules
Work in collaboration with the program / project team to drive the consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting
Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems
Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews
Support PM and PgM as needed
 
 
SKILLS REQUIRED
5 – 10 years of experience using MS Project, MS Excel, extremely proficient
Education:  Four-year college degree (desired, not required)
Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment
5 yrs of demonstrated experience managing a schedule for a construction project(s) involving multiple sub-components using MS Project
Creative and innovative, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to respond to multiple request/tasks and sudden changes in priorities
Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and writing skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
Possess PMP, PMI-SP or CAPM certification
Experience in managing highly technical fast paced projects
